Plot summary

During World War Two, the British authorities discover that Nazi U-boats have unexpectedly changed the code of their Enigma machines - thus endangering the lives of thousands of Allied sailors. They enlist the help of Tom Jericho (Scott), a brilliant young code breaker. But Tom also needs to solve the mystery surrounding the woman (Winslet) he loves, who is suspected of being a spy.
